The HP Indigo printing presses in Turnhout (Belgium) are supremely well suited to the production of labels and flexible packaging with superb print quality. The compilation of a printed image through CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) produces just a limited portion of the spectrum possible with PMS (Pantone Mixing System). To remedy this situation, aL Printing has developed its own aL Colour Assist (aCA) system that makes use of all the colour possibilities of the HP press.
Thanks to the development of aCA it is now possible to achieve about 95% of the conventional PMS spectrum through use of colours additional to the standard CMYK set. To aid the client, the PMS colours are printed on various substrates in both CMYK and aCA and compiled in an aLbum so the suitable colour can be selected at a glance.
Packaging produced with aCA gives an unparalleled appearance to the product.
