A number of new presses and a finishing line have recently been added. This concerns a 4 and a 10 colour OMET press.!
These presses with a feed or web width of 420 mm fill the gap between the 370 mm and 530 mm web widths. Both presses can handle UV-Flexo and Water Flexo inks. Other than an obviously high graphics quality, comparable to offset and intaglio, there is certainly also a constant quality on plastic substrates from 12 microns. The press equipment includes:
- Lamination equipment, for intermediate layer printed packaging;
- Delaminating and re-laminating equipment for the partial neutralising of the adhesive on self-adhesive labels;
- Web inspection equipment that identifies and records any deviation from the outlined reference.
Given the enormous increase within digital printing, a second finishing line made by DIGICON has been added.
Other than the standard treatments such as:
- All-over and partial varnishing;
- 1-colour embossing;
- Laminating;
- Die-cutting;
- Cutting,
this machine is also equipped with a rotating UV screen-printing unit.
With this we can carry out various processes such as the application of:
- Braille and relief text, for example warning triangles for the visually impaired;
- High-quality gold and silver print;
- > 24 to > 300 micron thick special varnishes, such as:
- An anti-slip coating;
- In-mould coating;
- Optical embossing varnish, for tactile and visible embossing.
